Bakersfield – Alexis Arrow Taverner, 49, of Bakersfield, California, passed away on April 28, 2024. He was born on September 15, 1974, in Lyons, Kansas.
 
Alexis was a beacon of light and solace in any setting! His mere presence exuded a sense of care and compassion. With his radiant smile, genuine love for people, and unwavering dedication to helping others, Lex possessed a multitude of admirable qualities. His kind heart and pure intentions shone through in all that he did. Alexis' friendly and inviting demeanor left a lasting impression on those fortunate enough to cross paths with him. His infectious sense of humor never failed to bring joy to those around him. Undoubtedly, he was the heart and soul of any gathering. Alexis embraced life with a sense of adventure, finding joy in the simplest of things. His selfless, nurturing, and grounded nature will be deeply missed by all who had the blessing of knowing him.
 
Lex leaves behind his beloved wife, Dianna Taverner (Wilkerson), and their children: Ava, Alyssa, and William. He is also survived by his mother, Linda Taverner, brother Gabriel, sister Breanna, and many extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father, Larry Taverner.
 
Lex was a Certified Structural and Pipeline Welder by profession. He attended Roosevelt Elementary, Curran Jr. High, and West High School in Bakersfield.
 
In his free time, Lex enjoyed helping others, working out, cooking, cleaning, organizing, listening to music, hiking, riding motorcycles, boating, attending his children's sports events, worshiping the Lord, and serving at Riverlakes Church where his memorial service will be held on May 17th, 2024, at 10:00 A.M. Contributions in his memory can be made to Riverlakes Church.
 
The burial arrangements are private. May Alexis' memory be a blessing to all who knew him.
