Arturo Cobian Robles June 18, 1927 - June 1, 2013 Arturo Cobian Robles "Pop" passed away peacefully on June 1, 2013 at his home in Bakersfield, CA. He was born on June 18, 1927 in Limon, Jalisco, Mexico. He was the sixth child of a family of eleven born to Adolfo Robles Gonzales and Ignacia Cobian Moret. At a young age his family moved to Colima, Colima, Mexico. In 1950 he immigrated to the United States and settled in Bakersfield, CA. He married Ramona Gonzales in 1953 and together raised five children. Arturo was a hard worker, good husband and wonderful father. He was adored by his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife, Ramona; sons, Rick Robles and his wife Elva of Bakersfield, David Robles and his wife Michelle of Templeton; daughters Sara Robles Santillan and her husband Luis of San Diego, Eleanor Robles of San Diego, Ana Robles Yamauchi and her husband Ken of Davis; grandchildren Matt, Alexx, Daniel, Zalman, Eva, Arturo "Coby", Sam, Miriam; brothers Raul Robles of Bakersfield, Moises Robles of Mexico City, Mexico, Jaime Robles of Cuidad Juarez, Mexico. He is preceded in death by daughter in law Patty Robles. A memorial mass will be held at Christ the King Catholic Church, 1800 Bedford Way, Oildale, CA on June 8, 2013 at 12 p.m. followed by a reception at Pioneer Village-Kern County Museum, 3801 Chester Avenue, Bakersfield, CA. In lieu of flowers the family requests a donation be made to Mercy Hospice, 1600 D Street, #200, Bakersfield, CA 93301.
