Beatrice Christina Rager

Beatrice Christina Gambon- Rager passed away on January 30, 2025 in Bakersfield, California. Beatrice was born in Teaneck New Jersey on December 22, 1936. Beatrice was the only child of her father Roy and second child of her mother Beatrice. She spent her early years in New Jersey where her two oldest sons were born and later Colorado where she would have 7 more children. 

She talked often about going to Brooklyn Dodgers and New York Yankee baseball games with her dad Roy. Those were fond memories for her. As well as her memories of spending time on the Colorado river with her children. 

Her love for baseball didn’t end as a child. For many years, she was a season-ticket holder for the Bakersfield Dodgers until the team left Bakersfield. 

She would spend the next 52 years In Bakersfield California, the place that she considered to be home. She raised 8 kids but was mom to many more that weren’t her own. She had a golden soul and would help anyone who needed help no matter what. She was a wonderful mother and grandmother. She gave every ounce of  herself to her children up to the day she died. She was wonderful and selfless to her core.

She was tough beyond words. She was just built that way. She loved all things flowery and planted the most amazing gardens! You name it, she planted it. She had the biggest most beautiful flower gardens too! She loved her rose bushes, most of all. She liked to cook, bake, and sew. 

She loved Jesus, her family, her animals, the beach, game shows and food network. Especially the show struggle meals. She loved to try new things that she would learn from all the cooking shows that she would watch. 

Charlie Brown and Snoopy was her favorite cartoon. Especially Charlie Brown Christmas. We could fill up a book with all the wonderful things about her and all the life she touched. We will miss her so much but find comfort in the knowledge that she is rejoicing in heaven with the rest of our family. 

She is survived by her six children: Daniel Roach, Paul Roach, Billy Joe Roach, Bobbie Jo Unsell, Ellene Jenkins, and Delene prudomme, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.

 She is proceeded in death by her parents, Roy J Gambon and Beatrice C Anthony. Her three sons baby Danny Roach, Donald David Brennan and Ronald John Brennan. Her bonus son David Allen Roach. Her loving husband Charles Douglas Buss. Her father-in-law John Henry Williams. Former husband Danny Thomas Roach and granddaughter April Marie Roach. 

 Graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Friday February 14th at Greenlawn Cemetery at 3700 River Blvd. Bakersfield, CA 93305
