Beatrice Stella Henry

Beatrice Stella Henry, 76 of Bakersfield, passed away Nov. 22, 2019, with family by her side.

She was born to the late Jose and Juanita Lopez on August 29th in Chama, NM. She is survived by her children: Michael (Angela), Robbie, LaChelle (Jose), Billy (Yolanda), Juanita, Jason and 2 brothers: Jose (Trinnie) and Fred (Mona) Lopez. She also leaves behind: 17 grandchildren, 37 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren and a multitude of cousins, nephews and nieces. She was preceded in death by her husband George, sister Nora, daughter Terri and 2 grandsons: Tony and Donald.

Stella worked for the prison system in both NM and Taft, CA before retiring. She then took care of her granddaughter Lylah, who brought her so much life and purpose. She attended Southgate Redemption Center. She loved music and played guitar, passing this love to her grandchildren. After her love for God and Family, her spare time was spent wrapped in politics and love of her country.
A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, Dec 3, 2019 at Southgate Redemption Center, 1017 Southgate Dr. at 10:30 am with reception immediately following.
