Jim lost his battle with Alzheimer’s disease, and Betty with cancer one day apart. For richer, for poorer, in sickness and health until death do us part.

Upon Jim’s retirement from Pac Bell and their move to Stallion Springs, Betty and Jim quickly become involved with the Men and Women’s Golf Clubs at Horse Thief Country Club. Jim worked for approximately 20 years for the golf course in the Pro Shop and later in maintenance. He was a mechanical genius in repairing the golf club equipment. Betty served as HTWGC’s 1st Vice President for the past eight years planning social events, golf tournaments and an annual golf trip to Laughlin, NV.
Betty was active in the Relay for Life fundraising efforts in Tehachapi, particularly working in the Survivors Tent.
Betty and Jim were fixtures at the golf course and in the Stallion Springs neighborhood.
