Caleb Wade Blackburn - 33 passed away on May 16th 2013 Bakersfield, CA. He was born on October 17th 1979 in Bakersfield, CA to Donald W. Blackburn and Laura G. Blackburn.
Caleb grew up in Bakersfield, CA and attended North High School where he had many good and close friends who stayed in touch with him over the years.
Caleb began working as a carpenter, for local Carpenter’s Union 743 as an Apprentice, and had completed training as a Journeyman as well. We were all very proud of his accomplishments and his deep work ethic while on the job. Everyone that worked with Caleb always knew he was a hard worker who took direction well, and worked hard to learn any tasks entrusted to him. Caleb followed his father and brothers in to carpentry and worked locally, as well as out of town for about 6 years. Even when work was slow, he ran a small lawn and gardening business, and his clients loved his warm smile and his enthusiasm to ensure a job well done.
Caleb had three beautiful children, one son Nolan Wade, daughter Rebeka Louise, and his baby girl, Emily Rose. He loved his children deeply, and always looked forward to spending as much time with them as he could. Caleb’s children were his life. And he talked about them every day. Two of Caleb’s favorite pastimes were, cooking and listening to his favorite music. He was always listening to something no matter where he was, whether it was his favorites; The Door’s, the Beatles, Queen, Pink Floyd or Nirvana.
Caleb was preceded in death by his older brother, David W. W. Blackburn, Sept 11th, 1965 –July 11th, 2008
