Charles D. Buss

  Charles Douglas Buss passed away on March 15th, 2024 unexpectedly in his home. Charles was born in Rich Hill MO in 1949 but spent most of his life in Bakersfield CA which he considered home. This is where, In 1977 he met the love of his life, Beatrice. They would spend the next 47 years together. In that time, he helped raise and provide for Beatrice’s children: Don, Ron, Daniel, Paul, Billy, BobbieJo, Ellene and Delene and welcomed many grandchildren and great grandchildren into the world. He was the best bonus Dad any kid could ask for. He was always someone they could count on no matter what. 

    Charles was an animal lover who also had a green thumb for vegetable gardens which he planted nearly every year. He was an Elvis Presley fan who also loved classic country music and old westerns. He loved taking beach trips and had a mean sweet tooth. He appreciated a good Truck and never left the house without his cowboy hat. He worked hard to provide for his family and never complained. He always had a smile on his face and a kind hello to anyone he encountered. He was a gentle soul who never ever raised his voice in anger. He would give the shirt off his back to help anyone he knew. He was one of the good ones!

      He is survived by his soul mate Beatrice and his entire family who love him very much. He will be dearly missed.
