Curtis McClenny

Curtis McClenny was born February 11, 1946, in Congress Arizona and passed away on January 5, 2025, with his family by his side after battling cancer. Curtis served in the US Army and will have a military honor at the Bakersfield Nation cemetery in Arvin CA. On January 21, 2025 at 1:15 pm

Curtis married his love Brenda Abbott on June 30, 1972. The two were inseparable. Curtis and Brenda loved RVing with friends and family. When not camping, fishing, or hunting you could find Curtis at car shows or working on his 1972 Chevy C-10 or his 1940 Ford pickup. 

Curtis worked for the Bakersfield California newspaper for 39 years then together with Brenda at his side they ran a pool cleaning/repair service business “Curt’s Pools” for 10 years. 

After Brenda passed away in April 2018, Curtis continued doing the things they loved doing together. 

Curtis was a loving dad, grandpa, father-in-law, brother and uncle. Curtis will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory be a source of comfort and inspiration to those who loved him.
