Dale Eugene was the fourth son born to John and Pauline Strecker in Russell, Kansas. Services will be held at: Kern River Mortuary 530 North Chester Ave. Bakersfield CA, on 10-20-13, at 1 pm. Dad is preceded in death by his parents John and Pauline Strecker. Two brothers, one at birth and Glenn Strecker. Plus his sole mate and wife Nena Strecker. He is survived by son Darren Strecker and stepson Ron (Gwen) Wood). Daughter Denise (Carl) Mitchell and stepdaughters Darlene Wood and Donna (Roland) Lopez. Who loved him like a Dad. He also has too many grandchildren and great grandchildren to name, but he loved them all dearly. Plus, many nieces and nephews. He was raised on a farm with the typical two story house and white picket fence. They raised milk cows and one of his many chores were to milk the cows. This gave him his well known fore arms. That we all loving called, "Popeye Arms"! Dale went onto join the Army Reserve out of high school. Once serving his Country Dale moved to California where he met and married Dorothy. They had two children Denise and Darren. They realized that it was best to be friends and divorced. This is where Dale was introduced to his sole mate, Nena. If anyone knew them, knew they were meant for each other. They were even given a nick name,"Chip and Dale". Due to these adventures. This name was given to them by Nena's oldest daughter Darlene. They had many adventures together in their 5th wheel. Dale owned a little red motorcycle and he used to take Nena on many rides. As they re-experienced their teen years. Dale's passions were Nena's passions. Dale loved, to fish, camp, and work with his hands. When Dad could, he would take his Grandchildren fishing. These memories will last forever in our hearts. He could fix or build anything. Dad had many jobs throughout his career, but the one job that he truly loved most was with Locator Reality, (Thank you, Skip and Nancy). This enabled Dad to pursue his passions. Work with his hands and talk. He never knew a stranger. The biggest Blessing of all was when Dad accepted Christ 2 months before leaving this world and is now forever with his "Sweetie" for Eternity. We would like to thank Glenwood Gardens, Hoffman Hospice, and Dr Rizbud and Staff at Kaiser for all your love and care you gave to our Dad. Plus to J's Place for their Blessed Donations. In lieu of flowers send donations to Cancer Society, SPCA, or Burn Victims Thank you everyone for all your love and support. God Bless.
