Donna Marie Wisniewski (West), beloved wife, mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, born on April 23, 1960, to Lina Elizabeth Mooring-West, Willis McCraw and raised by the man she loved and called, Dad, Jessie Mitchel West of Salinas, California. She went home to be with our Lord and Savior, peacefully in her sleep, on November 26, 2023.

 

 

She was survived by her husband, Greg Wisniewski; her children, Jimi Cooke, and fiancé Melissa; Jami Matteucci and husband Jeremy; Kimberly Hazel and husband Allan; youngest son, Scooter (Gregory) Wisniewski. Her grandbabies are Jesi Matteucci, Gregory Wisniewski, Barrett, and Remington Hazel. Her siblings; Kim Burnett, Mitchel West, Jessie West and sister in-law, Heather, half siblings, Noelle McCarty and Dan McCraw; brother and sister in law, Jami Wisniewski and wife Michelle; sister in laws, Cathy Wisniewski, and Linda Wisniewski. She had many nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and all those who called her “Mama Donna” whom she loved and adored.

 

She was preceded by death to her dear parents, Lina and Mitchel (Dad), Willis (biological father); in-laws, Ronald, and Joan Wisniewski; brother, Aaron West, and brother in-law, Michael Wisniewski.  

 

Donna loved the Lord and absolutely loved her family. Family was Donna’s entire world. She loved her grandchildren more than words can describe. Donna has the kindest soul and had never met a stranger. She loved our country, country music, hallmark shows, and Christmas. The holidays will never be the same without her. She will be deeply missed by all who loved her and knew her.

 

She will be buried on Thursday, December 7th, at 10:45 am. at the Bakersfield National Cemetery located at:

 

30338 East Bear Mountain Blvd, Arvin, California, in Kern County. (It is approximately 20 miles east of Bakersfield.) 

 

Please don't be late, as the cemetery only allows 30-minute time slots. No reception afterward. 

 

Her Celebration of Life will be...

 

Saturday, January 6th at 1pm in Bakersfield, California (Location to follow)  

 

Since her brother, Aaron Glen West, passed just a little over a month before her, my mother, family, and I were planning his Celebration of Life for the same day. I'm combining their celebrations to accommodate all those who are traveling. I know my mother would have loved the idea. Please continue to keep us in your prayers. Greg and Donna’s children want to thank all those for the outpouring of love and prayers we have received! We truly appreciate you all!
