It is with heavy heart that we must share the passing of Eddie Brandon Bertrand, age 44, on Saturday June 15, 2024.

Brandon was born on November 6, 1979, in Bakersfield, California. He was the first child of three and the only son of Eddie and Brenda Bertrand. Brandon had a deep love for his family, and cherished the time they would spend together. His love for his parents was endless and he was their pride and joy. To Brandon’s two sisters he will always be their loving bubba, hero and their everlasting friend.

Brandon enjoyed riding bulls and horses in his youth and was a true cowboy at heart. He was rarely seen without his boots, wranglers, ball cap and his signature sunglasses.

As a proud graduate of Shafter High, Brandon discovered his passion for truck driving early in life. A love he inherited from his dad Eddie and grandpa George Bertrand. Brandon started his truck driving career with Bertrand Trucking in 1997.

Brandon took immense pride in his two children, Makayla 22 and Luke 15, never missing an opportunity to talk about them. He enjoyed taking his children to the mountains, his favorite place, where they spent quality time fishing, camping, and exploring back roads together.

Brandon is preceded in death by his father Eddie Bertrand, his grandparents Jerry and Doris Lucas and grandfather George Bertrand.

Brandon is survived by his children Makayla and Luke Bertrand, his momma Brenda Bertrand, his sisters, Tara “Bertrand” Cruz, her husband Eddie Cruz, Michelle Bertrand, and her fiancé Steven Taylor. Numerous beloved aunts’, uncles, nieces and nephews.

His legacy of love, laughter, and adventure will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
