Graveside services will be held at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Monday, June 9th at 10:00 am, to celebrate the life of Esther Williamson, who passed away peacefully in her sleep on June 4th at 88 years of age.
Esther was born in Portland, Oregon on February 17, 1926 to Jacob and Lena Schlitt. She met the love of her life Russell Williamson who preceded her in death in 1978. Esther stayed a dedicated and loving wife.
Esther is survived by her children and their spouses, Roger & Naomi Williamson, Nancy & Jerry Shirley, Kip & Donna Williamson, Marty & Kim Williamson. Her grandchildren, Jason, Joshua, Jacob, Jayme, Caleb, Nathan, Jeremy, Jonathan, Crystal, Clif, Kaylee, Karissa, Steve, Alan, Stacy, Kayla and Justin. She also had 20 great-grandchildren.
Esther loved to watch baseball, golf and every other sport on TV. She loved to attend all of her grandchildren’s sporting events and rooted them on so proudly and loudly. She was an avid bowler with many 200 plus games to her name, she also loved going to the casino and playing Bingo.
The family wishes to express warm thanks to Dr. Susan Helper and Hoffman Hospice and all the many friends and family for the love and support they have shown during this difficult time. A special thanks to the Caretakers at Carrington of Shafter who loved and tended for Esther which she had lived at for over a year.
Mom, thank you for the millions of moments we’ve shared with you. All those moments are now woven into a lifetime of incredible memories. It’s in those memories that we now find strength. As your children we know how proud you’ve always been of us. As we let go, it’s our hope that you know how proud we have always been to call you our Mom.
