Greta Kathleen Krieger

Greta Kathleen Krieger, passed away peacefully of natural causes on Sunday, January 18, 2015 in Bakersfield, California. Greta was 63 years old.

Greta was born in Medford, Oregon, on March 22, 1951. Her parents are Richard “Dick” and Margaret “Sidney” Parr. She has three siblings, Becky (Jim), Rick (Debbie) and Margaret. Growing up, she enjoyed many things but her greatest love was for horses. Greta’s love of horses is which lead her to meet the love of her life. Greta was married to Cecil Edward Krieger Sr., On January 9, 1971.

Greta worked in the medical field for over 20 years. After Greta’s retirement, she discovered what her true passion was, caring for her grandchildren. Greta’s grandchildren meant everything to her. She was very giving and gracious, especially with her love. Greta will be greatly missed by all that knew her as she was the kindest, most compassionate person you could know.

Greta is survived by her husband of 44 years, Cecil Edward Krieger Sr; two children; Cecil (Pam) Krieger of Taft, CA and Christine (Ted) Lopez of Bakersfield, CA; Six grandchildren; Matthew Jacob Krieger, Zachary John Krieger, Hailey Nicole Lopez, Brendan Jeffrey Krieger, William Edward Krieger and Malia Rose Lopez.

Friends and Family are invited to celebrate Greta’s life on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 - 11:00 am at Christ The King, located at 1800 Bedford Way, Bakersfield, CA, where a memorial service will be held in her honor.
