Mary Elias

Mary Helen Elias, daughter of Vidal and Maxima Franquiz, was called home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 9, 2015. Mary was born in Corcoran and spent nearly her entire life there including these past few years. She was a mother, a sister, an aunt and above all a wife of more than 30 years to Euvensio (Ben) Elias. She is also survived by her 6 dogs and 6 children and more than 25 grand and great grandchildren. She is survived by sisters Mary and Esther (Corcoran), Vicenta (Santa Maria) and her brother Gilbert (San Diego).

Our mother will be remembered for her love of dancing and education; she was a college graduate. She had an amazing work ethic and a fierce independence, traits she passed to all her children. Mom was a strong willed individual who was blessed with a strength from God. She enjoyed listening to oldies/ Motown music and shopping at swap meets and yard sales - she was a GREAT bargain hunter. Spending time with her grandchildren brought her great joy.

In celebration of her life, a service will take place on Saturday, January 17, 2015 at 1:00 pm in Hanford at 401 North Irwin Street.

Anybody that would like to celebrate her life with the family is welcome to attend.

It is our wish to spend this time remembering and rejoicing her with love in our hearts.
