Mary S. Pruett

Mary Susan Pruett “Sudy” passed peacefully on January 28, 2024. She was born in Bakersfield, CA on August 28, 1947. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Phillip Eddie Pruett and raised three children, Rick Pruett, Stephanie Smith, and her youngest son Edmond Day Pruett “E.D.” (who proceeded her in death.) Her parents were Dave and Cleo Lavers. Sudy has three siblings, Judy Thomas, Cheryl Lavers, and her late Brother Kenny Young. Her family also includes 7 grandchildren (Chris, Nick, Tal, Addon, Emma, Bridget, Haylie), 7 Great grandchildren (Elijah, Ezekial, Ester, Ava, Abigail, Josiah, Tripp), and her yellow lab Luna.

Sudy loved spending time in the kitchen creating delicious meals for her family. Sudy also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, traveling the world, quilting, attending Model A events, and watching “Jeopardy” nightly.

A graveyard service starting at 1:30 for close friends and family will be held on February 3, 2024, at the Oak Grove Cemetery in Glennville, California.
