Michael was born in Batesville, Indiana December 18th 1952, passed away November 10th 2012. Michael came to Lamont, CA, May 1956. Michael is preceded in death by his parents, Alvie and Rosie Maxine McClain of Lamont, Ca. Michael is survived by three Daughters Melissa and Jennifer McClain of Bakersfield, CA. Shelly Lawson and husband Joshua who are both serving our country in Fort Riley, KS. One Son, Michael James McClain of Bakersfield, CA. 10 Grandchildren, Three Sisters, Irene Johnson, Bakersfield, CA. Lois Moore, Arizona, Connie McClain, Taft, CA. Four Brothers, Ivan McClain, Louisiana, Kenneth, David and Billy McClain, Bakersfield, CA. Numerous nieces and nephews. Service will be November 29th 2012 at 6:00pm at Kern River Family Mortuary 1900 Chester Ave Bakersfield.

Last words of a Fisherman

Yesterday I sat looking out over the lake with a fishing pole in my hand. With family who came up to see me they even sat right there beside me in the sand. We talked about the old days as we were starting a new. And as the day went by our love really grew. They watched me try to catch that big one and was sad when it got away. Oh but who cares about the fish, it was the family that came to see me, that made it such a special day. And to all of you who I love, I'm sorry I didn't get to say good bye. But I know we will meet again and I'll be waiting for you on the other side.
