 Michael Steven Munn passed away on December 25, from a heart attack. Mike was born on July 18th 1952, in Bakersfield, California. He was the second of four sons born to James & Patricia Munn. Four days after he was born, the 1952 earth quake hit. Mike was in a bassinet that fell over and he sustained a major concussion. He also suffered with asthma. When Mike was one year old his mom entered him into a baby contest, he won a blue ribbon.

 Mike enjoyed baseball and was a booster for the local Bakersfield team, he also enjoyed working on cars, including his beloved 1967 Chevy C-10 truck.

Mike was good at fixing things; remodeling homes, fixing cars and he was a OTR truck driver and licensed to drive heavy equipment. Along with his three brothers they worked with their dad’s tree service for many years. Mike attended Mt. Vernon School, Sierra Jr. High, East Bakersfield High School and MTA OTR Truck Driving School.

  Mike was member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He sang in the church choir, was in “Promised Valley” and in “Annie Get Your Gun”. He was a Scout Leader and enjoyed the outdoors. He donated blood regularly, enjoyed drawing and art.

  Mike is survived by his two sons, James (Becka), Andrew (Lauren), brothers Russell (Jeannie), Richard (Melissa), 3 grandchildren and many nephews, nieces and cousins. Preceded in death by father Jim, mother, Pat and brother, Bob.

 Services will be held on January 17th 2025 at 11am at Kern River Family Mortuary 1900 N. Chester, Bakersfield, Ca. 93308. Saturday January 18th, 2025 at 11:00 am

Internment will take place on Monday 20, 2025, at Greenlawn Cemetery, 10am.
