Phillip Castaneda Jr III
10/30/1978 - 5/29/17
Phillip gained his angel wings and went to be with the Lord on Memorial Day 2017.
Phillip was a man who loved life, music, his family and most importantly, the Lord.
He was a talented self taught musician and played piano, drums, conga, organ, keyboard, among other instruments. He was an amazing soundboard whiz, and could learn new musically inclined ideas or tunes in a heartbeat. He would sit in as a backup in several bands whenever he was needed and would play like he was in the band for a lifetime.
Phillip was also a talented graphic designer.
Phillip is preceded in death by his father Phillip Castaneda II and brother Michael Dominguez, brother in law Sam Chacon Jr and grandmother Elvira Gonzales.
He is survived by his children Amri and Nicolas Castaneda, his mother whom he loved dearly, Alice E Castaneda, his brother's Leonard (Tina) Dominguez, Ruben (Tracy) Dominguez, Mark Dominguez, and Josh Benjamin.
Sisters Sandra Dominguez/Chacon, Karen (Elton) Paul, Sharon Dominguez, Nanette Castaneda, Phyllis Castaneda (Raleigh Jones) Jennifer Castaneda and Carlos Castaneda all of Bakersfield. Many nieces, nephews to include great nieces and nephews too numerous to name. A piece of our heart is missing, but we rejoice knowing he is whole and in the arms of the Lord. He will be missed greatly by family, friends and all who knew and loved him. He was one of a kind.
