In loving memory of Preston Anthony Musquez born March 16th 1982 to Russell and Teresa Musquez. Older brother to Jessica Marlene Musquez. He was a son a brother a grandson a dad a nephew and a cousin to a great family.
Preston was full of love and passion and had a huge heart. He was raised in Bakersfield California. Where he grew up in a Christian home and was a loving happy child. As he grew up his sister was his true best friend though he had many friends and girlfriends he was a very proud Mama's boy, he loved her so. He loved playing football, biking and working on his 64 Ford pickup his dad had given him.
As Preston grew into adulthood he worked at many jobs learning carpentry from his dad which actually took him to Louisiana after hurricane Katrina to help rebuild for a year and a half and he worked in the meat department at several grocery stores. Preston was a dreamer and always thinking about the next adventure or next friend he could help out in any way he could.
Preston never married but was most happiest when he was in a relationship. He fathered three children helping to raise Zaya Marie now 15 and Amaya Grace now 13, beautiful girls that inherited the best from him , and a son Christopher whom under difficult circumstances was surrendered to the state for adoption by his mother as a toddler.
Preston was a good man at heart he loved his family and his friends and his humor was second to none with a gift of understanding people. His contagious laugh and smile could charm just about anyone. He was helpful and very protective. These things are what we choose to remember of him.
Sadly in truth addiction weaved in and out of his adulthood life until it took its hold the last several years. He overdosed the evening of August 23rd 2023. Knowing that Preston had been saved in adulthood and was always a proclaimed believer and prayed often to our one true God We hold the peace and confidence that he is resting with Jesus for eternity.
He would always tell the girls after a visit "I'm always with you"
Well Preston I'm sure you will always be with us until we meet again. You will be greatly missed.
Psalm 23
The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.
2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.
3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.
4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.
5 Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
6 Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.
