Robert (Bob) Henry Wegis December 29,1927 - October 12, 2013 Robert (Bob) Henry Wegis, passed away peacefully Saturday night October 12, 2013. Native Bakersfield resident was born December 29,1927. Married 62 years to his childhood sweetheart, Bette Jane Beggs, who preceded him in death. Beloved father of five children: his eldest son, Antone Henry Wegis lll, preceded him in death; surviving children Martha Foster (Michael), Linda Kuban (Martin), Robert L. Wegis (Evelyn) and Laura Wright (Brian). Grandfather to Matthew, Heidi, Anna, Meredith, Jonathan, Sarah, Lauren, Carol and Kathryn. Great-grandfather to Aimee, Brayden, Carson, Cooper, Landon, and Evelyn. Bob was very active in farming and as a real estate broker in the community during his career. Those who knew him reflect on his generous heart and wonderful sense of humor. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends alike. To honor his memory and fondness for sweets, the family will be hosting an informal open house Sunday, October 20th 1:00-3:00 at the Lodge at the Four Seasons, 10500 Toscana Drive 93306.
