Wyatt Ashton Holloway

June 19, 2014 — March 1, 2024

Bakersfield

God called his special angel, Wyatt Ashton Holloway, home on the 1st of March just three months shy of his tenth birthday. Wyatt was born on June 19th, 2014 and during his nine years of life, he touched and changed the lives of everyone he met. He fought alongside his loving family up until the very end. Wyatt had a special love for his family and friends, and everyone could see and feel this through his smiles and amazing dinosaur growls. He would light up a room with his spirit. When Wyatt smiled you couldn’t help but smile too. He had the ability to draw everyone to him and he was known for his amazing flirting skills. Wyatt’s parents never let his disabilities stop him from doing anything. He was a League of Dreams athlete, and he played baseball for the Boston Red Sox as well as basketball and bowling. His dedicated family along with his brother Brett were there supporting and playing right alongside him at every game. Wyatt was part of the Terrio Early Intervention Program and then went on to be part of the Kern County Superintendent of School’s Blair Program. Wyatt loved his teachers so much that he went on to follow them to Whitley Elementary in the Panama Buena Vista School District.

Wyatt is survived by his devoted and loving parents Michael and Ashleigh Holloway, and his big brother Brett Holloway. Grandparents Alan and Kelly Holloway and William and JoElla Rodgers, Great Grandparents Jo McCall, Lula Rodgers, and Patricia Osborn. Godparents Aaron and Amy Holloway, Aunt Chelsea Rodgers, Cousin Rory Rodgers, and all the countless great Uncles, Aunts, and Cousins.

There will be a Celebration of Life and Reception for Wyatt Ashton Holloway on March 8th, Friday, 1:00 pm at the Links at Riverlakes, 5201 Riverlakes Dr. Bakersfield, Ca. 93312.

The family would like to thank everyone for all your love and support. And, on behalf of Wyatt, the family would like to give a special thanks to the Hoffman Hospice Starlight Pediatric Program Staff for the kind and compassionate care they provided him.
